An Adoption Application must be completed and submitted to Best Friends Sanctuary. Once approved, a home check will also be done and must be approved.
The adoption fee is $125.

After all approvals are in place, the dog will be spayed or neutered before being released to a new owner. If the dog does go home with the new owner prior to being spayed or neutered, due to immaturity of the puppy, they will be refunded $25 after the spay/neuter is done and proof of the surgery is provided. There are NO exceptions.

Our Adopted Dogs
We at Best Friends Sanctuary want to be very clear in that we do not make money on the dogs we rescue.
Every single dog that comes through the door of our shelter is fully vetted before they leave the shelter. If they need additional care, beyond the routine, they receive it in full. When an adopter takes home a dog from Best Friends, they can be assured they are getting a dog that is in excellent health.
The same is true of the dogs that are sent out of county, to another NO Kill rescue, for adoption purposes. We receive no money for dogs transported anywhere.
We are in this business to save lives, restore or give health to dogs and then give them a chance at a new life. We are not in it to make money.
