Welcome to our website
Here's how to help your Best Friends
Mission Statement:
We are dedicated to the prevention of cruelty and relieving the suffering of animals by educating the community about humane treatment and reducing the over population of animals by providing a low cost spay/neuter program for eligible owners.
ABOUT BEST FRIENDS
Best Friends Sanctuary was created on August 17, 2001, the date of our first organizational meeting. We were a small group of animal lovers dedicated to helping the homeless, abandoned, abused and neglected animals of Fentress County. At that time, we had no shelter facility and fostered the dogs at our homes.
10 years later, In 2011, with the help of community volunteers, we were able to build a small, now inadequate, building in which to this day, we still run our shelter.
Our Mission to help, save and shelter has never changed.
